What i think is what it is

The hybrid guy who comes to occupy my home and controlling things all about my home affairs . I am to live at my home under control of him and when I am hungry, there is nothing to eat. I become to know that all the things are already taken away from my home by this guy. Even if it is my own home, I cannot live free in it. When I wanna go to kitchen for break-fast, lunch and dinner, I have to report him that I am going to kitchen and when I wanna go to another room, I am to also report him. When I do not report to him, I am given punishment harshly.
And my belongings including money from my own home are taken and sold by this bully guy. By the time I ask him to return them, he tries to kill me with weapons which he purchases from my money. My own cultures and traditions are also degraded and destroyed by this invader guy. I am Arakanese and my home is Arakan.
Arakan State in Myanmar was a nation ruled by Arakanese Kings but it was invaded by Burma and is being ruled by Burma since 1784s. English and Japan also came to rule and left it but it is made to be under Burma as a nominal state of So-called Myanmar until right now.
Arakan State is with a small population living below poverty line and the rising cost of essentials of life is making their life miserable. The steps taken by Burmese Government is proving negligible clearly because of deliberately discrimination between the Arakan and majority Burmese national.
More and more youth, adolescents and small children are forced to work hard to assist parents and to make their two ends meet. The worst affected are unemployed educated youth who are getting more and more frustrated. So, most of them are forced to be errant to get livelihood by doing what ruling Burmese national wants.
The farmers and workers work very hard in Arakan State but are still not able to make a comfortable living and are still in very poor condition. The products of farms are being forcibly taken for Burmese national`s daily consumption by Government of Burma.
All natural resources are exploited. Natural Gas found in Arakan State is sold to China by Burma when local Arakanese people are living without electricity and without cooking gas. Fishes and all sea products are also taken away from Arakan. Most of Arakanese are to retire into bed without fishes and meat at their dinner everyday.
The marble stones and all kinds of forest products from Arakan  Roma( Arakan Hill ) also are sold to foreign and are used in regions lived by only Burma when local Arakanese are to live in houses made of bamboos and thatches in harsh or cruel climates like raining and winter seasons.
To conclude this colonizing, we must do what the best we can otherwise we all will fade away and our own home can be declared as their home.

Winners versus losers ( part two )

There are some habits which distinguish a winner from loser.
Some of these habits are :
-Losers only want to have pleasure. Winners manage a proper balance between work and leisure.
-Losers want an easy life without any suffering or hardship. Winners know what one sows is what one reaps. They know that efforts and actions do not go unnoticed.
They progress through trials and errors, without giving up.
-Losers dream but don’t act. Winners are always willing to do everything which is necessary to achieve their dreams.
-Losers do not move forward, because they are afraid to come out of their comfort zone. Winners move forward by refusing to tolerate all negative things, which hold them back. They create space in their lives for positive experiences.
-Losers think of all that is impossible. Winners think of infinite possibilities.
-Losers submit passively to surroundings and events; winners make choices based on what they want to do, have and become.
-Losers let others change their goals. Winners believe in themselves and their dreams.
Are you a loser or a winner?

Winners versus losers

There are some habits which distinguish a winner from loser.
Some of these habits are :
-          Losers decided to do something but do not do it or decided not to do something, but go ahead and do it, under external pressure. Winners do the opposite. They decide to do something and do it, or decided not to do something and do not do it.
-Losers see problems in every opportunity. Winners see opportunity in every problem.
- A loser’s move is based on instinct or impulse. Winners are proud that they learn from their mistakes.
        -      Losers reject suggestions because the acceptance makes them feel inferior : Winners welcome
Suggestions because they are open to learning.
-          Losers call it quits at the first sings of failure. Winners treat failure as a stepping stone to success.
-Losers do not have the power of persistence. Winners always go after their dreams.
-  Losers envy winners. Winners congratulate every successful person.

Interview with U Hla Saw, General Secretary of the Rakhine Nationalities Development Party

Facing an economic crisis and joblessness, many individuals and families have been leaving Arakan State in search of opportunities to survive elsewhere. The areas worst hit by the crisis are Mraybon and Munbra Townships, which were also hit hard by Cyclone Giri. There are concerns that the crises may lead to the loss of Arakanese national races in the state, as those who are leaving to work overseas in Thailand and Malaysia have been deserting their homeland and selling off their property.
Narinjara has interviewed U Hla Saw, general secretary of the Rakhine Nationalities Development Party, which is the main Arakanese political party, concerning the crises in western Burma’s Arakan State.
Q: What are the reasons behind Arakanese people leaving their homeland?
A: This is not a crisis that suddenly emerged in Arakan State, but one that has been building from the decades-long restrictions and monopolization of the land and water where people earn their livelihoods. Since they have no freedom to earn their livelihood from their surrounding lands, forest, mountains, ponds, creeks, rivers, or the sea, and have no other jobs, they have to leave their homeland for opportunities elsewhere just to survive.
Q: What can stop the people from leaving their homeland?
A: The people here are mostly dependent on the surrounding natural resources and they should have rights to access these public resources freely to sustain their daily lives in their localities. There are systems such as leasing out the sea, river, creeks, and pods to private businesses in our state. Those systems were unheard of even in the age of the BSPP government, and we should try together to stop those systems that have come to exist currently in our state. If we fail to abolish those systems, then we will have to watch people continuing to leave our homeland.
Q: What will happen to the future Arakanese nationalities if they keep leaving their homeland?
A: Arakanese people are now facing various challenges, such as lack of opportunities for work, no electricity, and shortages of food and water in their homeland. So they have been leaving Arakan State because it is just the most neglected and least developed state in Burma. However, their departure is also dependent on their personal choices. If we have to look from the perspective of race or nationality, the issue is a problem that may gradually lead to the cessation of a national race.
Q: What should the Arakanese do to solve their problem?
A: It is not possible to stop the people who left their homeland behind for their personal interest and survival, but we should work together to develop our own state and to create job opportunities inside the state. Especially the politicians, the educated, and the intellectuals should come together to demand the pre-requisites such as electricity and better infrastructure for sustainable development of the state without fear from the central government.
Q: What is the latest situation inside the state?
A: People, especially from the cyclone-affected Munbra and Mraybon Townships are moving to Tanaig in Kachin State. The Yuzana Company is also taking not only individuals but also families from those areas to employ them as laborers in their projects. The company officials have been collecting them at a Buddhist shrine public hall in Munbra Town and have been taking them every day in crowded busses to their projects. I heard that most of the people are worried about being trafficked by the officials after being taken there, but they have no choice and have to follow them to get the opportunity for a job to earn a living.

Ancient City of Danyawaddy Should Also be on World Heritage List

The current Thein Sein government is working to include Burma’s ancient cities in the World Heritage List of UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization). To protect and preserve Burmese cultural heritages up to international standards, the government is now cooperating with UNESCO to get the cities added to the list. They submitted three ancient cities, Beikthano, Hanlin, and Tharay-Khit-taya (Sri Ksetra) to UNESCO. Union Minister for Information and Cultural Affairs Kyaw San mentioned those cities in his address in Pyithu Hluttaw held on September 20. “To add the ancient cities into the World Heritage List and to protect and preserve them according to the international standards, cooperation with UNESCO is underway. Beikthano, Hanlin, Tharay-Khit-taya were proposed to be put on the list. They are at the last step of being in the World Heritage List. When UNESCO is done with their standard procedures, the three cities – Beikthano, Hanlin, and Tharay-Khit-taya- will be in the list.”
There are many ancient cities in Burma that are part of world history. Among them, not just Beikthano, Hanlin, and Tharay-Khit-taya are the most ancient but also Danyawaddy located in Kyauktaw Township near Mahamuni Pagoda. Danyawaddy can be dated back from 6 BC up to 4 AD. Therefore, Danyawaddy is the most ancient city in Burma. When they excavated the old palace site 3 years ago, the palace wall of Danyawaddy, brick foundations, city entrances, and broken pot pieces used at that time were uncovered. The shape of the city is not square but round, unlike most of the ancient sites. It has been proved that Danyawaddy did exist in Arakan. There are three Danyawaddy periods and the excavated city that was built in the third Danyawaddy period lasted from 6 BC until 4 AD. Beikthano, Hanlin, and Tharay-Khit-taya cities were founded between 1 AD and 9 AD. Therefore, Danyawaddy is much older than Beikthano, Hanlin and Tharay-Khit-taya.
However, the Burmese government did not submit Danyawaddy to UNESCO to be included in the World Heritage List. Instead, only Beikthano, Hanlin, and Tharay-Khit-taya were proposed. Excluding Danyawaddy, because it is the ethnic Arakanese site, is an utter discrimination against the ethnic minorities. It shows that the government does not value the heritage of other ethnic groups that are not Burman. The Union of Burma is not a country where only Burman people live. Shan, Chin, Karen, Arakanese and other ethnic people also live in the country. Therefore, the heritage of other ethnic groups are as equally important as those of the Burmans. Like Burman heritage, they all have to be preserved as well. It is imperative to protect and preserve all the heritages of Burma without narrow-mindedly discriminating against one another.
Therefore, like Beikthano, Hanlin, and Tharay-Khit-taya, the ancient city of Danyawaddy should be submitted as quickly as possible, to UNESCO to include in the World Heritage List.
