Teenager killed in Sittwe firingThe firing incident of Sittwe on 27 March evening has clamed the first victim today. A teenage girl named Ma Nee Ma fell prey to the incident in the Arakanese capital city, while she was preparing to have dinner at home.

The victim (Ma Nee Ma) is around 13 years old and is identified as the daughter of U Tin Maung and Win May Thein from Wra Gyi Mrauk tract of Sittwe.
“Ma Nee Ma was about to take her dinner with all of us at around 5:30 pm on Thursday. Suddenly a bullet, penetrated from outside, hit at her. We tried to save her, but she soon succumbed to injuries,” said U Tin Maung .
Later they came to know that the bullet came from the guns of some Army personnel who opened fire to disperse some agitators. The demonstrators raised various slogans and even tried to destroy WFP rice warehouse located at Wra Gyi Mrauk.
“Ma Nee Ma was our elder daughter. We were blessed with two daughters and a son.  I feel so sad at this moment. Now I want to cremate her with all rituals,” added the father of the victim.
The body is kept in the morgue of Sittwe general hospital. Meanwhile, high authority officials had visited the hospital to offer condolence to the bereaved family.
