Let The World Know The Truth

Let the world know the truth :

Meik-hti-lar Burning By Race Riots!

This is the true story of Meik-hti-lar incident between Burmese Buddhists and Bengali Muslims there.

Today March 20 at about 9 in the morning U Khin Maung Win and Daw Aye Aye Naing came to New Weint Sein gold shop (Muslim-owned) to sell their gold comb. The husband and wife U Khin Maung Win (46) and Daw Aye Aye Naing (45) were together with their two young children.

The Shop-owner Muslim woman Myint Myint Aye (a) She-tar then broke the gold comb into two pieces and rubbed both pieces on their grading stone and also applied acid on them. She then decided to offer only 50,000 kyats for the gold worth at least 100,000 kyats.

The Buddhist couple refused to sell at that low price and asked her to re-join two broken pieces together. The Muslim woman refused and told them to leave and a heated argument broke out. They finally came to blow after the Benmgali-Muslim shop-owner and her elder sister bitch slapped the Burmese-Buddhist couple.
Daw Aye Aye Naing then started yelling out to the Burmese bystanders for help. Meanwhile the Bengali-Muslim husband of the shop-owner Htun Htun Oo (a) Ar-shit and his employee Nyi Nyi came in and started hitting U Khin Maung Win with timber 2x4 pieces. They both were yelling out that the Burmese-Buddhist couple and their children were trying to rob their gold shop.

As their Muslim relatives from other Muslim gold shops nearby joined the brutal attack on the Burmese-Buddhist family the bystanders started shouting at them to stop such unjust violence and they then called the police.

About twenty minutes later policemen arrived and they closed New Weint Sein Muslim gold shop and arrested Htun Htun Oo (a) Ar-shit and Nyi Nyi. But their accomplice Muslim women Myint Mtyint Aye (a) She-tar, Netty, and Boat-pwa escaped through the rear entrance of their shop.

By then time was about 10 in the morning and the Burmese crowd there was only about fifty. People thought that the escaping Muslim women were hiding in the upstairs apartment of Taw-win Yadanar Muslim gold shop next door. So they told police and the policemen went up there.

They found no Muslim women they were looking there except two teenage Muslim girls ferafully hiding there from the gathering Burmese crowd. Police and some local Buddhists then escorted them to safety through the angry crowd. Some Burmese threw stones at them but nothing serious happened to them as both Bengali-Muslim girls were wearing motorcycle helmets as precautions.

When the police and their charges got back at the police station there were big crowd of Burmese Buddhists waiting there. Requested by the district administrator and district police chief the town elders asked the crowd to disperse and at about 11 in the morning the crowd left the police station.

But the crowd at the New Weint Sein gold shop were getting bigger by the hour without a heavy police presence there and at about 1 in the afternoon the crowd turned violent and started destroying the New Weint-Sein gold shop and other Muslim gold shops in the area.

New Weint Sein, Taw-win Yadanar, Shwe Nandaw, Yunwady: all Muslim-owned gold shops were completely destroyed. All were affluent three-stories concrete buildings.

Burmese-owned Taing Chit gold shop was partly destroyed also as it was too late when the Buddhist mob discovered the Buddhist statue and Buddhist flag left inside the shop by the fleeing Buddhist owners.

By then about thirty riot police arrived at the scene but they just watched the destruction as a group of Buddhist monks also arrived and made an understanding with the police that they would control the Buddhist crowd not to target other Muslim properties in the town except the Muslim gold shops they had already started destroying.

As a precaution police detachments were sent to the mosques all over town and policemen with shields and bamboo sticks stood guard right in front of every mosque in Meik-hti-lar.

A Buddhist monk was killed by Muslims and deadly riots spread

Unfortunately at that time a Buddhist monk from Hanzar village of One-dwin township had come into the Meik-hti-lar town as a passenger on a motorbike and they were unknowingly riding through the Da-hart-tan Muslim ward the biggest Muslim quarters in Meik-hti-lar.

Already-agitated Muslims saw the Buddhist monk and chased the motorbike and managed to strike the Buddhist monk from behind with a sword and he fell to the ground from his pillion-riding position on the motorbike. He had a long deep gash on back of his head just above his left ear.

Despite the desperate pleas for mercy from the rider the Muslims forcefully took off his robe and brutally dragged the direly-wounded Buddhist monk into the nearby Myo-ma Mosque. Once inside the mosque they poured acid and petrol all over the wounded Buddhist monk and burned him alive. Only his discarded-robe and a large pool of blood were left at the spot on the road where he fell off the motor bike wounded.

Once that tragic news reached the crowd at the gold shops they immediately marched to Da-hart-tan Muslim ward and burned down the said Myo-ma Mosque and the nearby Muslim houses.

Muslims there retaliated by burning the Burmese houses and striking back at the attacking Buddhist mob. As Muslims were more numerous there many Buddhists were killed and wounded in that Muslim ward.

There are now 16 wounded Buddhists in the Meik-hti-lar Hospital and three were almost fatally wounded. So far one Burmese Buddhist died at the hospital and a few burnt-out corpses of unknown race have been recovered from the Muslim ward by the police.

During the riots a Muslim man driving a ten-wheeler truck tried to run over Burmese mob but he was hit in the eyes by Buddhists’ sling-shot balls and he lost control of his truck which was stopped after hitting a concrete building. He was pulled down from the truck and the Buddhist mob burned him alive.

The race riots were going on strong till 10 in the night when the district administration has imposed a dusk-to-dawn curfew (Act-144) indefinitely and the armed-riot-police battalions finally took over the whole town of Meik-hti-lar.

By 10:30 in the night all the mosques in Meik-hti-lar were burning and the local Muslims have taken all their young children, their women, and their old people out of the town in a long convoy of cars and trucks seen heading towards Taunggyi in the East. Only some Muslim men are left in the town to guard their properties.

Muslim population of Meik-hti-lar has dangerously swelled to the alarming level recently as the restless Muslim refugees fleeing from the recent racio-religious riots and unrests in Kyak-pa-daung, Kyauk-se, Ya-me-thin, and Taung-ngu and other places all over Burma had gathered at Meik-hti-lar the middle junction of various highways in Burma.

(Translator's Notes: Meik-hti-lar is the epicenter of Buddhist heartland in middle Burma. I used to know the area very well as my paternal clan is from Ma-hlaing a large township just a few miles north-west of Meik-hti-lar. The completely-Burmese area back then was basically the cradle of extremely brutal civil war between the ruling Socialists and the rebelling Communists in the whole 1950s.

Back then my late father Bo Htun Hla - an ex-army officer from Japanese-trained BNA (Burma National Army) and one of few trusted lieutenants of late General Aung San - was the Divisional Commanding Officer of 5,000 strong Communist 3M (Ma-thone-lone) Division controlling the triangular area of Mandalay-Meikhtilar-Myingyan during late 1940s and early 1950s.

Of course the Burmese Communists (CPB) were defeated there by the then-Socialists-controlled Burmese Army together with various Buddhist militias financed and armed by U Nu - Kyaw Nyein Socialist government.

Burmese there are most brutally militant compared to other Burmese anywhere else in Burma. In addition to the traditional weapons like long swords (Nghet-kyee-daung Dah) and long spears (Hlan-shay) openly carried by most men, most villages there has a cache of British Lee-Enfield .303 rifles secretly buried in the village ground. And the youths from that area are the main lifeblood of Burmese army which recruits only the Buddhist Burmese.

There were hardly any Muslims in that area before the 1970s. It seems now that within less than 40 years the invading Bengali-Muslims with massive financial support from Saudi Arabia have become the commercially dominant group building mosques and madrassas all over the place and the native Burmese-Buddhists must have deeply resented them and the eventual result is this racio-religious riots and the Muslim-cleansing which will follow like in the recent Arakan riots.)

Mysteriously,The Arakanese Student Leader Went Missing In Rangoon

The Arakanese student leader, who is secretary of federation of students unions organizing committee , was gone missing mysteriously when he was studying in university of Rangoon a few days ago. The reason why he was missing is yet not known but there are some possibilities which we should think.
In so-called Myanmar, Arakanese nationals are still being treated as hidden foes therefore ruling Burmese nationals will conspire. By using their Military Intelligence and Police Detectives, our student leader must be apprehended by them. It is very much possible when some gullible Arakans accuse extremist Muslims because they are generated confidence on cunning ruling Burmese National without thinking twice. In fact, everything in so-called Myanmar is under the ruling Burmese National. They can only do whatever they wanna and whatever they do not want to.
If we look back to just a few years, we can see what they had done for Arakanese National. In 1998, They had killed and they had conspired along with one of India Military Intelligence to kill Arakan Revolution leaders and Karen Revolution leaders  in the remote island of Andaman and Nicobar archipelago  when revolution was about to be on the completed way. It was sure that they did not let Arakan Revolution to become powerfully and ruined it.
And the end month of last year, there was a significant leader of Arakan revolution too was conspired to kill by them when he traveled from Thailand to China. By the time he was about to be handed over to Burma by China, fortunately he was saved by ally of Arakan Revolution ( K I O ) and there is also still outstanding Arakanese  computer student  in the prison by the time all political prisoners were given release from congested  cells of jail. Even Ko Min Ko Nine and Daw Aung  San Su Kyi are given free from jail, why and what is the reason that our Arakanese student is not given release from jail? Is he still enemy for so-called Myanmar?  Is he more dangerous than Ko Min Ko Nine and Daw Aung San Su Kyi? This is how we, Arakan, are discriminated and treated in so-called Myanmar.
Therefore we must realize that as long as we are under the Burma, we will be unable what we want to do for our national. And so long as we are to be under it, we must do what the best we can and unite to overcome all injustices  because  ‘ United we stand  divided we fail ‘ and union is strength and division leads to downfall. We need unity among our nationals when Burmese ruling nationals act on the policy of division in our land and rule for more than two centuries until right now.

The bigoted politicians are perpetual cause of civil wars and strife between the Majority and Minorities in Myanmar

As soon as I log on some websites and I log in facebook  on the day of weekend when I am free, I become to know that there was communal riot in the middle region of Myanmar. At least 20 people were killed and one Buddhist Monk was killed by daring Muslins even if Myanmar is supposed as Buddhism Nation. I wonder how they dare to kill Buddhist Monk in the heart of Myanmar by pouring petro and burning him to death. Muslims in Myanmar had already tried to create the new name – Rohingya-  in Myanmar because it can pave them to get all kinds of opportunities  to overtake majority. Last year was also seen Arakan massacre by Muslims-  in  Arakan State, western  Myanmar-  Migrant Bengalis whom Government of Myanmar should expel from Myanmar soon.
But there are Muslims born in Myanmar also should try to integrate with local community in lewd of conflicting against Buddhism because integrity is not a cloistered virtue. It is foundation of character and the hinge of human relations. Integrity can provide us friendship, trust, respect and admiration and most importance is that a balance needs to be made between the Majority and Minority.
However, famous Burmese national political leaders of present days in Myanmar leave no stone unturned to continue in power indulging in all foul means. They exploit the spirit of democracy for their personal ends. It is very much sure that Burmese national politicians in Myanmar have certain privileges therefore they try to hold ever it whatever they face difficulty. Taking privileges, they hesitate to sacrifice for the people but they care their near and dear ones and their own national ( Burma ). They think that they are Majority therefore they should dominate all other nationals (Race) in Myanmar. It often makes me unjustic, unfair and ungenerous. The fact is that Burmese politicians always mix up patriotism with absolute nationalism. From this point, there are always conflicts between the Majority and Minorities. And these bigoted politicians are perpetual cause of civil wars and strife between Majority and Minorities in Myanmar.

People unrest in our Arakan State of Myanmar is one of the problems of the day. The problem, however, cannot be solved properly unless we view it in the larger context of exact unrest and discontentment in the State. As the things are, there is growing dissatisfaction everywhere and growing frustration is the root cause of the unrest among the people. Political exploitation has also a role in the people unrest in our State. The vested interests in some political parties ( USDP and NLD ) use the force of illegal migrants for their political ends. They patronized illegal migrants ( Bengalis ) in time of their union elections and ultimately used them for their personal ends and polluted atmosphere of our State. You know that gone are the days when our land was considered to be peaceful golden place for its own people was the top priority for all of them.
As a result, people feel let down and frustrated. Managements of institutions and authority are also a cause for unrest. It is to be tackled by responsible leaders and public – spirited men of society and mostly political environment between the Arakan and Burma needs to be improved considerably and also it needs understanding , confidence , reliability between them so that the lost things of this cause is restored fully. But what and how can it be when Arakan is being treated as something like dangerous hidden foe to Burma? Therefore, it is time that both of Arakan and Burma should go to reform on this issue and also collaborate each other what the best they can otherwise both of them will be exterminated soon by formidable forces like migrants – Bengali and china.

What i think is what it is

The hybrid guy who comes to occupy my home and controlling things all about my home affairs . I am to live at my home under control of him and when I am hungry, there is nothing to eat. I become to know that all the things are already taken away from my home by this guy. Even if it is my own home, I cannot live free in it. When I wanna go to kitchen for break-fast, lunch and dinner, I have to report him that I am going to kitchen and when I wanna go to another room, I am to also report him. When I do not report to him, I am given punishment harshly.
And my belongings including money from my own home are taken and sold by this bully guy. By the time I ask him to return them, he tries to kill me with weapons which he purchases from my money. My own cultures and traditions are also degraded and destroyed by this invader guy. I am Arakanese and my home is Arakan.
Arakan State in Myanmar was a nation ruled by Arakanese Kings but it was invaded by Burma and is being ruled by Burma since 1784s. English and Japan also came to rule and left it but it is made to be under Burma as a nominal state of So-called Myanmar until right now.
Arakan State is with a small population living below poverty line and the rising cost of essentials of life is making their life miserable. The steps taken by Burmese Government is proving negligible clearly because of deliberately discrimination between the Arakan and majority Burmese national.
More and more youth, adolescents and small children are forced to work hard to assist parents and to make their two ends meet. The worst affected are unemployed educated youth who are getting more and more frustrated. So, most of them are forced to be errant to get livelihood by doing what ruling Burmese national wants.
The farmers and workers work very hard in Arakan State but are still not able to make a comfortable living and are still in very poor condition. The products of farms are being forcibly taken for Burmese national`s daily consumption by Government of Burma.
All natural resources are exploited. Natural Gas found in Arakan State is sold to China by Burma when local Arakanese people are living without electricity and without cooking gas. Fishes and all sea products are also taken away from Arakan. Most of Arakanese are to retire into bed without fishes and meat at their dinner everyday.
The marble stones and all kinds of forest products from Arakan  Roma( Arakan Hill ) also are sold to foreign and are used in regions lived by only Burma when local Arakanese are to live in houses made of bamboos and thatches in harsh or cruel climates like raining and winter seasons.
To conclude this colonizing, we must do what the best we can otherwise we all will fade away and our own home can be declared as their home.

Winners versus losers ( part two )

There are some habits which distinguish a winner from loser.
Some of these habits are :
-Losers only want to have pleasure. Winners manage a proper balance between work and leisure.
-Losers want an easy life without any suffering or hardship. Winners know what one sows is what one reaps. They know that efforts and actions do not go unnoticed.
They progress through trials and errors, without giving up.
-Losers dream but don’t act. Winners are always willing to do everything which is necessary to achieve their dreams.
-Losers do not move forward, because they are afraid to come out of their comfort zone. Winners move forward by refusing to tolerate all negative things, which hold them back. They create space in their lives for positive experiences.
-Losers think of all that is impossible. Winners think of infinite possibilities.
-Losers submit passively to surroundings and events; winners make choices based on what they want to do, have and become.
-Losers let others change their goals. Winners believe in themselves and their dreams.
Are you a loser or a winner?
