When the Arakan lost its sovereignty because of Myanmar"s invasion and fell under Myanmar's rule, Arakanese people were to be called ethnic of Myanmar. In fact, the Arakan should only be called a colonized nation and a colonized national.
Myanmar is calling on the Arakan as an ethnic is to continue to rule Arakan systematically and strategically. So far as I know, there are something like ethnics in England and Spain. Those ethics are treated as a complete brotherhood by the English and Spanish governments. But, it is very much different that Arakan is being treated as ethnic by Myanmar.
Every day, Myanmar Army is arresting the Arakanese people and giving heavy prison sentences on the accusation of tieing with the Arakan Army. Some are to die in detention centers and jails due to the atrocious investigation of the Myanmar Army.
"The Myanmar military arrested at least 40 locals across Kyauktaw, Ponnagyun, and Mrauk-U townships. In many cases, family members do not know where the detainees are being held. The military has not given any official statement to the media as to why these locals were arrested " said U Mrat Tun, executive director of the Arakan Human Rights Defenders and Promoters Association.
U Mrat Tun also condemned the military’s refusal to allow the detainees to contact their families after their arrest. He called on the military to allow the detainees to contact their loved ones as soon as possible.
“Among the detainees were underage children and this is a violation of human rights,” he added.
There are almost over hundreds of Arakanese people whom the Myanmar Army has arrested nowadays during the resuming fighting between the Arakan Army and Myanmar Army in the entire Arakan after the informal ceasefire with the Arakan Army.

The arbitrary arrests of Myanmar Army in Arakan
Monday, 18 July 2022
Retaliatory attack by the Arakan Army
Mr.Khaing Thu Kha, spokesperson of Arakan Army told Arakan Princess Media that Arakan Army retaliated by attacking the Myanmar Army on 18/7/2022 in Maungdaw Township. The reason why Arakan Army retaliated against Myanmar Army was that Arakan Army's camp was bombed by Myanmar Army in Karen State a few weeks ago.
The first attack of retaliation occurred in the morning at 9:00 o'clock in Rakhay Payi village and the second attack was followed at 10:30 am.
During the period of fighting, Arakan Army captures 14 enemies consisting Myanmar border guards polices and infantry soldiers. Amongst the all, there is police commander who surrenders and Arakan Army seizes a lot of ammunitions, two pistols, 24 assault rifles and some military equipment.
As soon as possible, Myanmar Army reinforced its troops to where Arakan Army's attacks had taken place and fired Artillery shells in all directions at random until the sun went down.
Elsewhere, villagers were forced to flee as the enemy entered the villages with complete weapons.
Because of this, Arakan Army is keeping a close eye on the enemy and there will likely be fierce fighting between Arakan Army and Myanmar Army anytime soon.

Myanmar cowardly strafes Arakan
Myanmar Army launched an air strike on Arakan Army's liberated eastern Headquarters near the Thai-Myanmar border at 12 am on 4/7/2022.
Due to the sudden and intentional attack of the Myanmar Army's air strike, six Arakanese soldiers were killed and rockets strafed from the supersonic jets hit a sewing machine training facility and some buildings.
The two supersonic jets of the Myanmar Army entered and flew into Thai airspace after a sudden bombing of the Arakan Army base near the border from the Myanmar side.
The civilization of wild living beings in the jungle, which the Myanmar Army is currently utilizing on the Arakanese people by killing, persecuting and shooting.
As carnivorous animals do not need to consume any vitamins found only in vegetables, Myanmar Army does not need to care about human rights and any international laws before and after killing weaker Arakanese people.
The behavior of the Myanmar Army does not change any respect for human rights and prevention of further violation of international humanitarian laws. Their habit of blanket denial and cruel attitude toward other races and religions is the main factor in crimes against humanity.

There is no other way but the revolution
Burmese soldiers who were harassing the people with weapons in Arakan were finally arrested by Arakan Army and arrests are being made. However, after capturing about 10 Burmese soldiers in a week, the Burmese army started targeting and killing the Arakanese people.
The Burmese army arrested more than 30 Arakanese youths in Kyauktaw Township, in Arakan on 21/6/2022 alone, shot and killed a young man, and left him near the bridge.
Four women were arrested in Kyauktaw and another was beaten while on a business trip near the market.
As the repression of the Burmese army continues to worsen in Arakan, Arakanese youths have come to realize again that there is no other way but to practice the push of repression.

The enemy is about to knock on the doors of homes of Arakanese people
In Arakan, the Burmese military's reinforcements are reaching their peak. With the deployment of the navy, air force and land forces, Soe Win, the Burmese army's second-in-command, is coming to support his troops.
The only submarine in the Burmese army has been also deployed along the Arakan coast, and Russian-made helicopters have been sent to Arakan too.
At the same time, tens of thousands of troops have been sent to Arakan in this year, including the People's Police.
Arrests and torture of all Rakhine and Bengali Muslims associated with the Arakan Army are on the rise. However, due to the current rainy season, fighting is unlikely to happen once in a while, but no one can guarantee that it will not happen.
But everyone has agreement with it that as the Burmese army invades, so will the fighting. The Arakan Army is also known to be well-prepared to fight back, and more fighting is expected ahead this time around.

Time to leave Burma alone in an inferno
The Burma Army is inviting nowadays to all non-Burmese revolutionary Army to negotiate peace in Myanmar after It fails to control the nation.
At the same time, the political downfall has made life difficult for the Burmese Army. Consequently, the economy has deteriorated and commodity prices are very much raising. Most people are starving to death. However, Burmese rebels groups are fighting, killing, and bombing against the Burmese Army in the name of revolution across the regions in which Burman only lives. Burmese rebels led by former Aung San Suu Kyi's political party are causing very much hardships for Burma Army and sanctions and embargos from the International also is knocking out the Burmese Army.
Hence Burmese Army desperately becomes to invite talk for peace. But it is too late to do so because some non-Burma revolutionary Army has gone their goals and leaving back Burma after Burma was nothing for their existence but colonizing them.
The talk proposed by Burma Army to the non-Burma revolutionary Army is just to rule continually no-Burma while Burma itself fighting each other to gain political power. Yes, whoever gains power between them, the same will be paid to non-Burma by the majority of Burma. This was enough proved to
be a reality in the record and in history therefore Burma should be left back once for all by non-Burma in Myanmar and then build confederation without majority Burma, leaving Burma alone in an inferno.

Statement of Solidarity with Bangladesh on International Mother Language Day by Arakan Army
United League of Arakan (ULA)
Statement of Solidarity
For our natural neighbor, the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, this day marks as the great juncture for becoming the ‘Shaheed Day (Language Martyrs Day)’ and we pay our deep homage to those language-martyrs namely Salam, Barkat, Rafiq, Jabbar, Shafiur and other heroes who sacrificed their lives for the cause of their mother tongue Bangla. Under the charismatic leadership of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Founding Father of Bangladesh, the people of Bangladesh were able to achieve their priceless and invaluable sovereignty and independence in 1971 which, we believe, is also the primal foundation for maintaining the political and cultural identity of a nation.
Our forefathers from the lands of Bengal and Arakan strove to have their respective civilizations thrive on the banks of the Bay of Bengal and of the Naf river. They constitute the natural bond between the people and regions of Bangladesh and Arakan. We deeply regard that both our societies are historically and culturally interlinked. The Arakanese community is a part of the Bengali nation, and in the same way the Bengali community is a part of our Arakan nation. Since both territories are comprised of our brothers and sisters, we firmly believe that it is our responsibility to serve both our people for the best.
Sending this statement of solidarity on this day on behalf of the Arakan people is an honor for us. We profoundly believe that the restitution of Arakan sovereignty to our people is the ultimate aim of our national liberation movement and the right to mother tongue language is also a part of that. We desire to bolster a better future between our nations and regions in terms of military, political, economic, cultural and diplomatic relations. “Good Neighbor Shall be Good Friend”. May Bangladesh Live Forever!

The political transition in Arakan
The national politics of the Arakanese people are changing and evolving. Today, the politics of the Arakanese people, which have been in the downstream water for decades under the shadow of Burmese politics, have now been almost completely left.
Since the Arakanese people lost faith in Burmese politics, the Arakanese national politicians have become united with the Arakanese people.
This situation is being mediated by the Arakan Army, which is replacing the administration in Arakan with the Arakan Army's political leadership. I am very happy to know that my teacher is now taking responsibility for Arakan national politics on behalf of the Arakan administration of Arakan Army. I am proud of him as one of his disciples.

Where Is the Arakanese Revolution Heading?
: Zaw Htun (Mrauk - U)
Written By Zaw Htun (Mrauk-U)
The Mughal emperors thought they were the largest empire ever built, and the British even described their territory as an empire upon which the sun never set. But empires come and go. On the world map, the borders of countries change one by one, and the flags sometimes change from one colour to another. We can easily say that in the 21st century, new flags and new maps have and will appear. There are people who have established new nations and there are still many who are trying to establish nations.
I would like to compare some of the countries that have succeeded and also look at how they have failed, and why they remain relevant in the 21st century.
Czech Republic
The Czech Republic was formed in 1993. On January 1 of that year, it raised its own flag on the world map, as an independent nation. It was located in what was known as Czechoslovakia before the Czech Republic was established. When I look at the main reasons for the breakup of Czechoslovakia and the emergence of a new Czech Republic, I notice four main features that distinguish the dissolution/independence processes as being both successful and bloodless:
(1) A nationalist spirit of wanting to establish one’s own nation;
(2) Populations and boundaries that can build a nation;
(3) Having the infrastructure and human resources to run a country;
(4) Slovakia could not be ignored; with no bloodshed, a split vote was held in the Federal Parliament, with former Czechoslovakia emerging as the new Czech Republic and Slovakia as separate nations.
Another point is that their people are on average well educated and have a generally peaceful outlook, allowing for the civil consideration of differences as a means of settling disputes.
East Timor
East Timor (aka Timor-Leste) is a small island nation in Southeast Asia that became independent on May 20, 2002. East Timor was not only colonised by the Portuguese for many years, but also was subsequently colonised by Indonesia. It’s very interesting to see how East Timor, with just over a million people, defeated Indonesia, many times more powerful, and how it was able to establish itself as an independent nation. Here, too, I will present my point of view in a very simple way. I am aware of the three main points that Timor-Leste’s desire for liberation from slavery was furthered among the international community and at the United Nations by the ability to form an alliance with someone stronger than the enemy, in order to confront the local superpower.
With an ally like Australia, which has a wide range of political, economic and social interests, not just territorial waters, East Timor has been aided greatly. At the height of the rivalry between communism and democracy, access to the help of the more powerful pro-democracy Australia made it easier and faster to obtain assistance from Western Europe as well as the United Nations. That is why, despite Timor-Leste’s many sacrifices, it eventually won a peaceful referendum, and gained a lot of UN assistance in rebuilding the country after independence.
South Sudan
If you look at South Sudan, it is a small, landlocked country in Africa. It seceded from Sudan on July 9, 2011. An analysis of the reasons for gaining independence reveals that the South Sudanese people have been able to identify with the world the distinctive characteristics of segregation, sectarianism, sectarian strife, and ethnic conflict in almost half of Sudan’s borders.
The world came to realise that these nations would not be at peace without independence after the end of fierce conflict. That is why South Sudan succeeded in becoming an independent nation.
Somaliland
Somaliland declared independence from Somalia on May 18, 1991. However, it has not yet become an official country on the world map, as it is not recognised by the African Union, which is made up of countries in Africa including Somalia. Somaliland has its own army, its own police, its own laws, its own courts, its own government, but it is not yet a legal nation.
The lesson is that the two main components of independence for Somaliland are the lack of consensus of the mainland and the lack of recognition by regional countries, no matter how strong the military struggle for independence as a nation may be.
Where Is Arakan’s Revolution Moving Toward?
When I’ve been asked if Arakan State could become a country, I’ll reply: “It will be difficult. But it is possible.”
Arakan State has a long history of being a de facto nation and has a strong geographical location. It also has a strong literary and artistic heritage, as well as a wealth of resources and infrastructure to provide good food and services to its people. There are people in Arakan State who will be satisfied under an Arakan government and administration that can lead the people to security and development.
But for Arakan State, the question of how to achieve independence has become a difficult one. Fighting and territorial integrity have been achieved, and the administrative and judicial machinery is functioning well and the Arakan Army/United League of Arakan (AA/ULA) is a de facto government. This revolutionary de facto government has able to balance the Muslim crisis, which no successive de jure government has been able to deal with. If the Arakan Army occupies Arakan State and declares independence, it will have to work hard to get more votes in the UN General Assembly if the five members of the UN Security Council and the 15 permanent members of the Security Council do not object. But the process is not as easy as it sounds.
- If intense battles, such as those in Syria, were fought on the pathway to independence, would an alliance like that between East Timor and Australia be sought, and relied upon if secured, with a world/regional power?
- We must try to persuade the United Nations to differentiate between two literary cultures and two religions that have almost identical religious backgrounds.
- If the two territories, which are closely intertwined in economics, education, religion and culture, are suddenly separated by hostility, we must do our best not to be left in the same predicament as South Sudan.
It is possible that the chief of the Arakan Army said that the first step was to rule Arakan State with a confederate state no less than the “Wa” Self-Administered Division. That is why I have to consider the independence of Arakan State as a difficult but possible proposition
