Everyone
wanna be free whatever he or she does without any restraining. It is
known that people live within communities and in historical process.
Nobody wanna be under the rule of other nationalities. Look at Scottish
people who were under the British rule over 300 years but they never
forget what they were and what they wanted. They carried on their
national duty from generations to generations. Even
in the predicament of politic, they ever were in unity to face
hardships and overcame it. As a result of it, they are about to gain
their independence in 2014 from the British but it is needed to
implement from the both sides of Scott and British. As all we know, we
belong to Arakan, in other words, we are Arakanese National who is being
lost independence over 200 years under the Burma since 1784s.
Absolutely, I believe that all Arakan never wanna be under the Burma
because Arakan was not Burma and also Arakan is not Burma and Arakan
will not be Burma. Arakan is Arakan who had own independent kingdom and
dynasties. If you ask everyone of Arakan, not only me but also all
Arakan, do they want independence from Burma? The answer is surely “
yes”. So, it is consensus of people of Arakan and one should recognize
it particularly ruling national – Burma -in Myanmar Nation. I am not
saying that we, Arakan, will struggle in violence against the Burma to
regain our independence but we must do what the best we can in legal
ways in democratic system which is being practiced in Myanmar. There is
something, in politic of Myanmar, which we are to welcome because it
paves initially democratic ways for the people like Arakan first time in
the period of 48 years – from 1962 to 2010 - but it is only fetus of
democracy that we all know and there are also a lot of things which we
are to amend gradually to come mature fully. It is our duty to
participate in the process of democracy of Myanmar whatever we can so
that both of Arakan and Burma and other ethnics will have benefits of it
and peacefully whatever they can sometime in future.
